Brent, if you're asking when iOS and macOS no longer work together, I can tell you that my iPhone 14 Pro Max on 18.1.1 and 2012 MB Pro on 10.15.7 still connect for backups and sync.

Why not? Here¡¯s why I haven¡¯t. I just the other day finally got the notice to upgrade my iPhone XR to iOS 17.7.2. Since then I have gotten daily warnings that I don¡¯t have enough memory to do the next upgrade, and it is offering 18.1.1. But all the XRs have only 8 GB of memory.?
And I remember a lot of complaints about people not liking the workflow in photos. So I want to delete a bunch, then move most off of the iPhone on to my Mac, without using my iCloud account or turning on syncing. But there does not seem to rapidly view large thumbnails and select photos to delete.?
So I guess 18.1.1 is in my future.?
And at what point does the connection between iOS and macOS? I hit it when I was on iOS 13 and macOS 10.7.5.
