I¡¯m in the UK and fitted a Pioneer receiver myself to get CarPlay and other ¡°smart¡± features, but Waze works very well.

With no luck getting voice working in Maps on CarPlay, I¡¯m considering giving Google Maps a whirl IF it works through CarPlay WITH voice. ?Has anyone tried it? ?Success? ?Failure?

My DH and I just drove back home to north central Vermont from mid coast Maine through the interior rather than skirting the White mountains via expressway as we¡¯ve done in the past. ?While Maps got us back ok, it sure would have been nice to get voice heads-up for turns. ?Curving two lane roads make taking directions from a screen less than ideal.
