My watch used to ring when my phone rang. That does not happen since the upgrade

My maps turn by turn haptics on the watch stopped working since the upgrade. What else am I going to find??

My iphone just chugs and chugs when I try to go into the watch settings to see if their is an update for my watch.?

So frustrating. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
