yep, with texting and other moads of communication we are losing the ability to communicate. i for one refuse to text. either call me or don't bother. and yes, almost all sites seem to have that short

Steve; You can pick up a used bed,and lead screw on here,and,if you bolt both beds down,and line them up ,you can add another 16 in. Lead screws can be joined by turning a lap joint,and pin it.

A subtle but good point Gerry. Total Indicator Runout vs. Total Indicated Runout. I like your version, which is probably correct. I had likely heard the not quite right version years ago and it stuck.

I purchased the 5" 4 jaw chuck with adaptor from LMS to turn larger square aluminum blocks and rounds for small crankcases. I have noticed more chatter with that chuck when turning steel... Steve
