Based on the direction he ran and the location of my iPhone a few minutes later we think we ran back toward C St on the odd numbered side of 10th and then probably east on C to 11th and then up 11th to Independence where he kept heading east toward 14th. Some very identifiable things that he might have discarded along the way are a man’s blue cashmere sport coat with a red windowpane pattern and a purse that looks like the one below only in an off white color. If you see any of these things we’d be grateful for a location. The purse had two sets of eye glasses in it that would be really helpful to have back! Washington; Metropolitan Police Department's (MPD) First District Watch Commander; Mr. Peter Bug Matthews; and Reggie Mathis from the Office of Gun Violence Prevention. MPD's Crime Incident Summary: The meeting began with MPD's description of two recent crimes occurring very near Walter Street on or about Saturday, June 3, both of which were armed robberies with "unknown suspects," and are under active investigation by MPD Officer Andrew McCallum. In each scenario, MPD described that the suspect "approached from behind with a gun" and "departed in a Kia." In one of the incidents, the suspect specifically demanded the phone, phone passcode, and Airpods of the victim at gunpoint.
