[Lincolnparkdc] Dehumidifier in rental basement

My experience has been to be proactive as much as?possible. For a humidifier? consider a mini-split.

Hi neighbors,

We're new at renting our English basement and wonder what others do regarding dehumidifiers. The woman who lived there 15 years (before we bought the house) used a portable one during the summer. Without it, inside humidity gets into the "high" range. Now, we're wondering whether it's reasonable to expect a renter to run it and to empty it as needed (daily). When we replaced the HVAC system, the technician told us our 800 sq. ft. was too small for one to be built in with the air handler and we had to rely on a portable one.

Does anyone have any experience/comments?

Thanks, Jessie on 11th
