Join us for the Dance Craze
Hi Friends,
Taffety Punk is about to launch our three week celebration of one of theatre's purest elements. We're calling it the Dance Craze. For the next three weekends we will feature a set of of new works by eight choreographers. We took special care to put younger, up and coming choreographers on the same bill with the more experienced. Think of it as supporting bands opening for the headliner. This will be Paulina's last show with us before she runs off to get that pesky PhD. I hope you can make it tomorrow night to give her a big Taffety Punk "WE LOVE YOU" as she presents the world premiere of "From Your Representatives, with Love" -- which she's also dancing in! This new work explores the miraculous idea of congressional employees releasing their artistic souls. It features a live score by Josh Taylor who will mix real world sounds into his composition. I know this is a busy time for everyone. And tomorrow night is short notice, but we'd love to see you there. But I just wanted to get the word out! We're at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop, 545 7th Street SE, WDC 20003. The show starts at 8pm. Tickets can be reserved at . More details are below. Thanks! Always grateful, Marcus Marcus Kyd,?Artistic Director Taffety Punk Theatre Company PO Box 15392 WDC 20003 kyd@...?| (202) 261-6612 Dance Craze Three weeks to celebrate the best and purest form of Theatre: DANCE! $10 per show at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop 545 7th Street SE WDC 20003 WEEK ONE May 6 at 8pm May 7, at 3pm & 8pm The world premiere of?Paulina Guerrero¡¯s "From Your Representatives, with Love" with a new art installation by Matt Hollis, and music by Josh Taylor, also ¡°Stolen Spaces¡± by?Alexandra Pinel, a brand new work that explores life behind the Berlin Wall.
