Ms Frances is having a summer camp is a go for 2.5 to 5 year olds!
If you haven't heard of her, Ms. Frances is a legendary preschool teacher on Capitol Hill for 30+ years. She is the director of the Capitol Hill Cooperative Nursery School, and she has worked miracles with kids in the preschool age.
After our location fell through at the 11th hour, it looks like her summer camp is back on again at Watkins ES, starting June 25 from 8:30 to 1:30.
Ms. Frances takes the kids all over Capitol Hill every day: Union Station to the see the trains, museums, carousel on the mall, fire stations, playgrounds. She also does water play, outdoor science, arts and crafts, and music and movement with Ms. Audrey. We will also have special drop-in guests like African and Chinese story tellers, and more.
The price is a little more more than some programs, a little less than others. But in the words of both my 8 year old boy who is an alumnus and my 3 year boy who is currently enrolled, "It's a special day, every day."
