You may be aware of a city-wide effort to place a significant campaign finance reform proposal on the November ballot. ?If passed, the proposal will ban corporate contributions to DC election campaigns, constituent service funds and transition committees. ?In order to be placed on the ballot, the initiative must collect 22,000 signatures city-wide, including 4,000 from Ward 6 registered voters, by July 3rd. ??
You can learn more about the initiative at: ?.
I'm helping organize signature collection efforts in Ward 6, and am actively seeking volunteers to collect signatures during the April 3rd primary and at other civic events throughout the Ward 6. ?If you're interested in lending a hand for an hour or two, please drop me an e-mail and I'll get you linked up with the Ward 6 coordinator.
