As the primary author of the recommendations, I sought to balance the ability of the market to move forward and evolve, with the need to provide a stable operating environment for the small businesses and entrepreneurs who earn their living at the market. ?
Overall, I am strongly in favor of the legislation. ?Unification of responsibility, accountability and authority for market operations is absolutely essential to ensuring the future viability of the market, and to preserving its character.
