WINTER WONDERLAND - Dec 14

Come check out local vendors for great holiday gifts, visit with Santa, get your presents wrapped for free, and donate new, unwrapped toys for children in need. Winter Wonderland will be on Saturday, December 14 from 1-5PM. Please email?michael.skinner.dc@...?if you'd like to volunteer to help set up.?

RENOVATIONS

Nothing is ever?simple. We had hoped to be open by now, but we've had continued challenges with permits and getting our sprinklers hooked up. We expect our DDOT public space permit to be approved?this coming week, which will trigger the Department?of Buildings to issue our full exterior permit. We're ordering materials and are excited about making the facade and backyard porch and patio a reality. We're in meetings with DC Water about the water hook-up for our sprinklers. Department of Buildings has required some additional steps for our interior permit as well. I'll provide an update once we hear back from them on the latest submissions. The apartment looks great and is at the punch-list phase. We can't rent it until our sprinkler water connection is completed, but the sprinkler system itself has been installed and inspected.?

So we're likely looking at March of 2025 to celebrate our re-opening. Peyton Sherwood, who will be leasing the space and running Mott's, has been busy building shelving and gathering the refrigerators, ice maker, and other equipment he'll need to get things open once the build-out is complete.?
