Liz, thanks for the update on your project. I know you¡¯ve been thoughtful about all of?this.
I would suggest that for others who seem to have just started house construction?projects that they?get their contractors parking permits so they can park on the street. There were literally 8 big trucks and vans all parked?back there for most of the day?today bumper to bumper making it impossible for the houses at the north end of the alley to get in and out. I¡¯m not kidding when I suggest this is a fire hazard.
At the very least can folks ask their contractors to label where the person who belongs to a given?truck?can be reached.

We are in temporary housing around the corner on 12th St, SE, and have not been there on a regular basis to know who all of the construction vehicles belong to.? Our main contractor parks on the street with our visitor's parking pass. I understand when some of the subcontractors are doing work on our property, they park behind our carriage house.? I believe they are always respectful of the neighbors and they have even helped to hang the Children at Play signs in the alley (thanks to Martha for organizing that effort!).?
That said, I know exactly what you mean about the parking lot, there are so many projects happening at the same time.? The good news on our end is that we are wrapping up our project soon!??? ??
