Re: Anyone know what happened last Wednesday?

This tragedy appears to have occurred right behind my house.? Day of we had heard about the emergency responders.? Just got more details last night.
?
Not much to add beyond what Katy shared.? The victim lives a few up from the end on the east side of 11th St.? He needed medical attention and is still not in great shape.? Renee Reid went to see him Sunday.? I'll ask her tonight what support she thinks is the best way to show our support.

Hi
I dont know anything about this; very scary! ?
Some of my close neighbors and I have been talking about putting a gate at the beginning of the easement behind my house (200 11th) and one behind 208, the end of that dark "corridor". ?We would all have keys, and hopefully could curb the afternoon stream of kids cutting thru and curb the after dark thievery from those backyards. ?
3 of the 5 houses that have rights to the easement are in favorof at least one gate, tho we would want to make sure everyone in Gessford is ok with it.
Please let me know what you think...
Best
Catherine

Hi all.

I heard some disturbing news this morning.

Apparently last Wednesday at 2pm, a group of teenagers came out of the alley (at 11th and C, closer to the dry cleaners), knocked a man out with a brick to his head, stole his wallet and stuff and took off.

The man lives on 11th Street (on the 11th and 12th block) and doesn't remember anything and is recovering at home.

The neighbor that told me this happened said that C Street was blocked off by police cars that afternoon as well.

Does anyone know anything about this? I looked in the police alerts but didn't find anything.

(And does anyone know who it was and if we, as neighbors, can help them with food or anything?)

Thanks,
Katy
