Georgetown to South Park Connection Update
Construction on the Georgetown to South Park Safety project began on Monday, November 18!
Over the next few weeks, you¡¯ll see the following activities in the project area:

Weekend work: Signal and drainage work at the intersection of E Marginal Way S and 16th Ave S
- Restoring asphalt on 13th Ave S, S Albro Pl, and Ellis Ave S
- Restoring roadway pavement and sidewalk on 13th Ave S, S Albro Pl, and Ellis Ave S
- Shutting off the fire hydrant supply on Ellis Ave S between S Elizabeth St and E Marginal Way S for hydrant and drainage work
*Please note that much of this work is weather dependent and subject to schedule changes.

What to expect during construction
During construction, you can expect the following:
- Typical work hours are from Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00 AM and finishing at 5:00 PM.
- We may need to temporarily change the traffic flow to accommodate the construction work.
- There will be temporary restrictions on parking.
- Some of the work activities might be noisy. This includes using backup alarms for safety, heavy vehicles, and power tools.

Walking and biking path protected by trees or parking from 13th Ave S and S Bailey St to E Marginal Way S and 16th Ave S

Walking and biking path protected by paint and posts on the north side of E Marginal Way S and through the dog park to be constructed soon at the ¡°Flume¡± property

 The Flume site (located on S Myrtle St), formerly owned by Seattle City Light (SCL), will now serve as an off-leash area (dog park) and a shared-use path for those walking, biking, and rolling between Georgetown and South Park.?
The dog park project is expected to begin the process of contractor selection in the coming weeks, with construction?expected to begin later this year?at the Georgetown ¡®Flume¡¯ property!
