Cleanup Construction Activities
All dredging of contaminated sediments for Construction Season 1 has been finished. Placement of clean material is ongoing in the last of the Sediment Management Areas (SMAs) dredged this season.?Construction is done in SMAs 2B, 3, 4, 8, and 11B.?
The construction schedule continues to follow the times of high tides.?The active work sites are in shallow waters near the shore, and higher tides are needed to float the equipment. This work includes the movement of barges.
The high tides during the week of February 17 occur in the early mornings. Some work this week will be done outside normal hours (7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays). The schedule will vary but work may start as early as 4 a.m.?
Please note that in-water construction activities are tide and weather-dependent. All schedules are subject to change. Thank you for your patience as we wrap up Season 1 work.

What to expect during the week of February 17
Construction will occur on President¡¯s Day, Monday, February 17.?
The remaining cleanup activity is backfilling (placing clean material) in SMA 6. A replacement tribal fishing pile in this area will be installed as soon as possible after backfilling. ?
?
Minor finishing work will occur for the SMA 9 sheet pile wall. This will be short duration and may occur during night-time due to the need to conduct the work during low tide.
?
The final surveys of dredged and backfilled SMAs 2A and C1 will be evaluated for completeness. See the map of cleanup areas linked below. ?
What to expect during the week of February 24
During the week of February 24, backfilling will continue in SMA 6. To complete this last area, the work will continue through February 28. We anticipate the work schedule during this week could begin as early as 12 a.m.
