King County is getting ready to build a 1.25-million-gallon underground storage tank near the intersection of Southwest Michigan Street and Second Avenue Southwest. This storage tank will help to reduce combined sewer overflows from the South Park and Highland Park drainage basins into the Duwamish River.?
Through project design, we have worked with project neighbors to develop a solution that reflects community priorities. Visit the link below to provide your feedback on our efforts to gather input and keep you informed during design. We are collecting responses until Friday, February 28.?
Construction is coming soon
Now that the design is complete, King County is preparing for construction. We expect construction to start later this year and continue through 2028.??
