Poor DH is having a terrible year, back in February a chance blood test done in Switzerland (and not routinely done here in the Uk), showed a possibility of prostate cancer, and three months of tests showed he has an aggressive form. Hoping to start a? few weeks of radiotherapy soon¡.and fingers crossed for a good outcome. It is disconcerting to think that being off work with exhaustion may have unexpectedly saved his life, because they do hope they have caught the cancer in time!

I yearn for a quiet, settled life. Thank goodness for knitting and dog walks.
