Sacramento area is surrounded by fires but not in direct danger. ?We are on alert and have documents, pet carriers, etc close at hand because we potentially have another lightning storm coming that could cause localized fires. But mainly we are blanketed with smoke and ash fall so no one can do much outdoors. ?It¡¯s almost as bad as it was 2 years ago when schools were closed for several days. ?
