Friend of a friend today stated that she can¡¯t wear a mask because she¡¯s claustrophobic. I am suing my head a lot these days.

I¡¯m fascinated myself that my kids seem clearer on the need for social responsibility than a lot of adults.? Observationally (which makes it utterly anecdotal) I¡¯ve noticed that there are certain age groups that seem less inclined to wear masks and be careful, at least where I am, and it doesn¡¯t seem to be the young adults who are the culprits.
?
I wish everyone would be responsible so we could all, as a society, cope with this whole mess more effectively.

I find myself thinking in terms that I literally learned in grade school, that freedom unchecked by responsibility is mere license, and is immoral.?
The days of Sister Helena St. Anne are long gone. Who'd have thought I'd be nostalgic?

How awful. You should get those plague doctor masks and wear them with cloaks or something. That could be fun.

Well,? We still have big pockets of unmasked people, and I hesitate to write this, but here goes.? Because we live in a coastal area, we are besieged with flotillas, called Trumptillas.? Great hoards of decorated yachts, but horns blaring, packed with unmasked people. Each boat is loaded with people. They're having a great time and that's fine, but they often are dangerously close to one another and don't seem to pay much attention to where they are in relation to us in our little boat. Sometimes it's really hard to avoid them, especially if we are headed back to the marina and they're parading in the vicinity. It's a huge party with the attendant libations involved so sometimes people aren't paying attention.? It can be dicey at times.?
I'd have a problem with this no matter who is being celebrated b/c there is a certain exuberant aggression when you have such a tight pack, motoring as one, big blob of yachts.? The fact that they're all packed on these boats unmasked brings another level of frustration.? After they are heading to grocery, hardware stores and all the places I've got to frequent.
