Sangha Tomorrow - NEW LOCATION AND TIME!!!!
开云体育Hey everyone,? Hope you're all doing well! It was so lovely being on retreat with so many of you this weekend. AMAZING NEWS: our sangha is growing!! We have finally out-grown Joseph's room. With everyone who has been coming and new folks planning to come tomorrow, we're setting out on a new phase of Wake Up Happy Valley! The space we were planning to move to right before the pandemic can finally become a reality.? Because the space is used during the day for body work appointments, we have to shift the start of sangha up half an hour later. NEW TIME is 7:30-9:30pm.? For those of you who are interested in coming in person tomorrow, we will be at 186 Northampton Street, Ste D, Easthampton, MA 01027. The new location is right next to the new Easthampton co-op if that location marker is helpful for you. We are planning to continue offering a hybrid structure, so you're welcome to come on zoom still at the usual link:? Sangha Tonight - Weather Caveat!

Happy New Year!

The weather this morning in Western Mass is pretty terrible-- black ice and freezing rain--BUT we are still planning to gather in person tonight for 7:30-9:30pm at 186 Northampton Street, Ste D, Easthampton, MA 01027 so long as driving conditions improve.
?
Please keep your eyes peeled later in the day for possible in-person cancellations. The conditions are supposed to improve as it warms up this afternoon, but if it still seems unsafe to drive later tonight, we will move to a FULLY VIRTUAL sangha. If you don't see an update here or by email by 6pm, it means it is safe to drive and we will see you in person!

Due to the increase of cases and out of an abundance of safety for our community, we will be moving to a FULLY VIRTUAL sangha for the remainder of January and first week of February. The plan is to return to in-person on February 9th, so long as it feels safer to do so.

Special Sangha Tomorrow

We will have a special sangha this Wednesday through Zoom at 7:30pm to honor our teacher,?Thich Nhat Hanh.
?
Please join us here () tomorrow and read the?beautiful post Joseph shared:?

A few days ago our teacher Thay passed away from his body. This Wednesday we will have a ceremony to honor and practice with him. Our brother Denys from River Valley Sangha will be joining us to lead the ceremony. You are invited to prepare for this ceremony by putting together an altar. Some things you might want to add to your altar are a picture of Thay, some candles, a plant or flowers and maybe some pictures of your ancestors. You can also add other beautiful things or a cup of tea brewed mindfully as an offering to Thay.
?
This is an important and auspicious time for our practice. We can contemplate our interring with Thay, we really are his continuation. Without him I would not be writing this post and many of us would not know each other or even be who we are today. He is within us, let’s keep him alive by practicing well every day. We can do this by being peaceful, mindful and compassionate, we can listen to ourselves and others deeply and with love.
