SoftRock RX Ensemble II HF Receive receiving problem
NICK K. PLUMIDAKIS
开云体育? ? Hi to All. I want to ask if anybody has find any receiving problem with the SoftRock RX Ensemble II HF Receivein the same band hearing the same station with two type of modulation ?( USB and LSB ) with ?a difference of about 20Khz one from each other .It happens in all bands from 80m to 10m. It is happening in two units working with different sound cards ( the one with creative usb SBX PRO STUDIO and the other with the Delta 44 ) , with win 7 64 bit? , antennas Mosley Pro 67 C-3? 7el yagi and? STEP IR ?5el ?yagi. Thank you 73 DE SV1VS Nick |
开云体育You don’t have both sound channels working or there is a big un-balance in
the levels or timing of the stereo sound out of the RX II.? You may have
windows set to “mono” sound which would cause the same problem.? What SDR
software are you using?
Did you build the RX II?

开云体育Dear Mike Hi Thank you for your reply. I am in Stereo in Win. The sound is present in both channels. There is no sort circuit in the audio. I am using the Flex Radio? PowerSDR V 2.4.4 with the Build from SV1EIA. In the settings of the Delta 44 both channels are working. I hope that I am replying with ?all the details that you have asked for. Thank you again Best 73 DE Nick SV1VS ? From: softrock40@...

开云体育Are the sound levels in each channel equal, they should be very close to
the same sound level.
?
Did you build this or buy a pre-built RX II?
?
What are the level differences in the LSB and USB signals of the same
transmission.? If one signal is 40 or more DB lower than the other it might
just be caused by a slight sound level imbalance.? I use a Delta 44 with
PowerSDR 2.4.4 with a RX II and don’t notice the “image” signals at all.?
Although if I started looking for the image signal I might find some very weak
image signals from very strong signals.

开云体育Mike Hi yes the levels are equal absolutely.( a bit low level but equal ) The one RX II is homemade and the 2 others are premade .. The difference in frequency ?is about 20khz. The level is about 20DB? less than the original one and it is in higher frequency. Can you forwarding to me in direct mail the settings that you are using in both sound card and in Power SDR? Finally it sounds to me that it may be a wrong setting. Thank you De Nick SV1VS ? From: softrock40@...
