4 sale RX/TX 10-12-15
I jumped onto the softrock bandwagon with both feet and have a collection. My interest have changed and they have been sitting on a shelf for a while. I would like to offer them up for sale starting with a RXTX built for 10-12-15. It comes with the KM5H enclosure.
I didn't build it, I purchased the kit and got some one from this page to build it for me. It receives fine, I never got it to TX, I gave up too quickly.
Email me off list for details or any questions. Sorry US only.
Thanks
Chris

Re: Move to groups.io Poll results
开云体育Because I don't do HTML based lists and frankly cant remember the credentials. Its all too much effort for too little result. I like my info pushed, not pulled. Sent from my iPad On Jul 22, 2017, at 1:57 PM, Mike Waters mikewate@... [softrock40] <softrock40@...> wrote:

It's not that those that didn't vote can't log in, but that they chose not to be bothered to.

Re: Move to groups.io Poll results
Bogus? Well a month back we had the discussion on the list and hardly
anyone participated either, actually way less than 92 responded in any way so the survey had a lot more responses. So in your opinion is a not bogus way to discuss this issue? Cecil, If you took the time to have a poll and the numbers aren't even close I would say you have your answer. ? I recently migrated a group to and it was seamless. 73, Tim KB2MFS On Sat, Jul 22, 2017 at 10:46 AM, Cecil Bayona cecil.bayona@... [softrock40] <softrock40@...> wrote:

Move to groups.io Poll results
It's been over a month which I think is long enough to get people to vote on the issue, the results are;
60 votes or 60% to move to Groups.io 16 votes or 16% to stay until something happens 12 votes or 13% to let the moderators decide 2 votes or 2% not interested in the subject 2 votes or 2% to delete the group. Not a very decisive size group voted but I was expecting that as most people just read the messages and are not active. A total of 92 votes of the members that cared one way or the other. One thing to keep in mind the move requires no action on the part of the members it's all done by groups .io, they would move the memberaccount, files, photos, and messages, all I have to do is send them an email to go ahead as everything is already setup. In the meantime as a safety measure I bought some software and I have a complete local backup of the groups files, photos, and all messages in case of a nuclear meltdown at Verizon/AOL the new owners of Yahoo groups. Right now there is no mechanism to use that backup to restore the user data somewhere else but the software can generate a MySQL database so software could be written to do a restore somewhere else, that is why I spent some money to have a backup of the groups data. So what do we do next? -- Cecil - k5nwa |

Re: HDSDR Sound
开云体育Good afternoon/evening Alan,As usual, thanks for your timely response. ?I do know about the mute button. ?And, it was in the proper condition to allow audio to the speaker — unmuted. ?But I thought I had better check it to be sure. ?When I booted up the HDSDR program, there was the audio! ?I didn’t know why for a few moments until I looked at the smaller of the two displays of waterfall and spectrum. ?The width of the filter had booted up in it’s natural width. ?For me that would be the -10 dB points on the curve at about 200 and 700 Hz. ?I set my CW sidetone at 450 Hz. ?BUT, I have the habit of taking the mouse and cursor, grabbing the edge of the curve and dragging it toward the center a bit, narrowing down the filter width. ?When I did this out of habit, the audio disappeared!. ?Even though the frequency of the received signal was perfectly centered in the window, the audio decreased in volume as the window narrowed to the point where I could not hear it. I know there must be an explanation for this. ?I really don’t care to know it. ?I am just happy that I know what caused my setup to lose the audio output in the computer speakers. ?And the answer is — ME. ?As my favorite philosopher, Pogo once said, “We have met the enemy, and he is US!” Thanks for your help — you really did help by getting me to revisit and examine the problem. 73, Dave, K4TO

Re: HDSDR Sound
Alan
Sometimes I can hear the output of my VHF Ensemble II in my computerspeakers.--- I am running the HDSDR program on Windows 7/64 bit which is running on a virtual machine in Parallels. My computer is a MAC Mini. I have checked system sound levels. The speakers are working for all other applications. I’m stopped at this point. I have looked around G4ZFQ’s excellent web site, but, so far, have not seen anything that might shed light on the problem. Dave, You say you know HDSDR's squelch, set by clicking the S Meter. There is also a mute button, "M" on the keyboard. So the only other thing is the selection of the speakers and sound controls. I do not know a MAC or Parallels. 73 Alan G4ZFQ |
HDSDR Sound
Good morning,
Sometimes I can hear the output of my VHF Ensemble II in my computer speakers. Sometimes I cannot. I have researched on the web to learn how to squelch and unsquelch the audio. I have checked the sound card setup. The input is fine — I can see the SDR working. The output is selected to go to “ Speakers, Parallels Audio Control”. I am running the HDSDR program on Windows 7/64 bit which is running on a virtual machine in Parallels. My computer is a MAC Mini. I have checked system sound levels. The speakers are working for all other applications. I’m stopped at this point. I have looked around G4ZFQ’s excellent web site, but, so far, have not seen anything that might shed light on the problem. I don’t need the system speakers. But I would like to have them to compare the detected signal on the SDR to the detected signal on my station receiver once in a while. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks & 73, Dave, K4TO |
