K4D Noise Reduction Toggle

I have been successful in getting NodeRed to turn Noise Reduction on and off on the radio. I cannot figure out how to indicate the Noise Reduction status on NodeRed. Any help would be appreciated.

encrypted credentials
3
I am using the rotor control for PSTRotatorAZ. Today, my rotor control suddenly stopped working. No indicator or movement when clicked. It works as expected manually at the YRC-1 controller. In looking at the flow, the serial out and serial in are showing connected. But I am getting the following text in the debug window. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Nathan, K4NHW 1/14/2025, 5:38:00 PMmsg : string[567]"??---------------------------------------------------------------------?Your flow credentials file is encrypted using a system-generated key.??If the system-generated key is lost for any reason, your credentials?file will not be recoverable, you will have to delete it and re-enter?your credentials.??You should set your own key using the 'credentialSecret' option in?your settings file. Node-RED will then re-encrypt your credentials?file using your chosen key the next time you deploy a change.?---------------------------------------------------------------------?" 1/14/2025, 5:38:00 PMmsg : string[31]"Encrypted credentials not found"

Capturing list of packages installed via the Palette Manager
4
When building a new server for existing flows, one must first reconstruct all the packages installed via the Palette Manager. Not always easy. I discovered Node Red maintains a list of installed packages. So when exporting all your flows, and capturing a copy of settings.js, it might be useful to snag a copy of the following file. If rebuilding a server, one should do this prior to "nuking" the existing server cat ~/.node-red/package.json { "name": "node-red-project", "description": "initially created for you by Node-RED 1.2.9 ", "version": "0.0.1", "private": true, "dependencies": { "node-red-contrib-boolean-logic": "0.0.3", "node-red-contrib-convert": "~1.0.5", "node-red-contrib-flexradio": "~1.2.0", "node-red-contrib-image-tools": "~2.0.4", "node-red-contrib-interval-length": "0.0.6", "node-red-contrib-loop": "~1.0.1", "node-red-contrib-moment": "~4.0.0", "node-red-contrib-msg-resend": "~1.0.0", "node-red-contrib-os": "~0.2.1", "node-red-contrib-play-audio": "^2.5.0", "node-red-contrib-redplc-ntptime": "~1.0.6", "node-red-contrib-rpi-shutdown": "0.0.2", "node-red-contrib-simple-gate": "~0.5.2", "node-red-contrib-stoptimer3": "~0.1.2", "node-red-contrib-streamdeck-ws": "~0.9.4", "node-red-contrib-string": "~1.0.0", "node-red-contrib-tplink": "~1.0.0", "node-red-contrib-ui-led": "~0.4.11", "node-red-contrib-ui-level": "~0.1.46", "node-red-contrib-ui-svg": "~2.3.1", "node-red-contrib-unit-converter": "0.0.2", "node-red-contrib-usbhid-reader": "github:robertsLando/node-red-contrib-usbhid", "node-red-contrib-vcgencmd": "~1.0.3", "node-red-dashboard": "~3.1.6", "node-red-node-irc": "~0.1.0", "node-red-node-openweathermap": "~1.0.1", "node-red-node-pi-gpio": "^2.0.5", "node-red-node-ping": "^0.3.1", "node-red-node-random": "^0.4.0", "node-red-node-rbe": "~0.5.0", "node-red-node-serialport": "~1.0.3", "node-red-node-smooth": "^0.1.2", "node-red-node-sqlite": "~1.0.3", "node-red-node-tail": "~0.3.2", "node-red-node-ui-table": "~0.3.12", "node-red-node-wol": "~0.2.0" } } 73, Ron WB2WGH

First time user securing NodeRed
8
I am setting up NodeRed for the first time, on a Pi3 for controlling my station including antenna switching relays. I want remote access for when I am away, and will be the only user. I am working through the tutorial and the process to secure the node looks complicated with certificates, etc. Is there a simpler way you can point me to a tutorial for? I do have a fixed IP address through my ISP. I would like to also run a vpn server on that same pi, and use that to remotely access my node and also my Flex transceiver, is this feasible? I was thinking SoftEther to allow easy access to my Flex for SmartLink. Suggestions? Thanks, 73, Steve AK0M

Palstar LA-1K Remote Setup
34
Hi Group - I'm eyeing the LA-1K amplifier for my remote station. I'm only needing the ability to change bands, antenna's, and the operate/standby status - I don't really need anything else. Is it as simple as downloading the Node Red application, blowing a configuration into the software, and hooking a serial cable from my computer to the amp? Appreciate any guidance! Thank you, Chad N0YK N0YK

Command to start nodered?
6
Folks, I¡¯ve got an SD card with nodered on it that is inserted in to a pi. Recently the pi came unplugged, and I¡¯m plugging it back in. So far the pi starts up, I can login to it via terminal, but when I try to access my nodered dashboard on the pi, I can¡¯t. What is the proper command to verify that nodered is started? Thanks, Justin-ai5os

KPA500/KAT500
8
Merry Christmas folks. Back to Node red and still stuck on my kpa/kat 500. installation. I have it all running on node red, I have tried a couple flows. but. stuck to the point nothing will control it. I feel like I am missing some setting in the serial realm of things as on the flow it always says waiting I have it running on a windows machine so I know I have the correct Om number and got baud rate number correct. I know the com port is is tied up because when I go back to the Elecraft software it won't start the remote hosting since the com port is being used. any thoughts. Again sorry folks for the trouble Brad k9bdh

Node-Red to control radio at the same time as running WSJT-X ???
4
Hello again, I have now managed to use my PC to run WSJT-X with my FTDX10, and use Node-Red to read and set parameters on the radio ........ but ..... not at the same time :( If I already have WSJT-X running, Node-Red can't connect. If I have Node-Red working, WSJT-X tells me on launch that there are config issues and won't work. So (and I think this might reveal a distinct lack of serial port knowledge), am I able to do both things at once? Both are using COM4 (my 'Enhanced serial port'), and neither will work with COM7 (my 'standard serial port'). Thanks, Keith MW0IBH

New to Node Red - trying to control FTDX10
5
Good evening everyone, I am very green with Node-Red, and indeed with CAT control. But, after a lot of internet searching and YouTube watching I have created something that looks like it should work (in comparison to other ideas I've seen). To keep thing very simple to start with, I am trying to change the CW keyer speed from the current value to 15wpm. The images below show my nodes and the config window for each, with a view of the debug output showing the 'injection' working. I have Enhanced port on COM7 on a Windows 11 PC (as an aside, I have WSJT-X working perfectly, so I know the radio and PC can talk to each other). Nothing happens on the radio when I click the inject node button, so for example I have set CW speed to 20wpm, and it remains so after injecting the message. (One thing I'm unsure of - as the config has the semi-colon entered in the 'Add character to output messages' box, I presumed I didn't need to add one to my message of KS020 -- anyway, I have tried the message with and without with no luck either way - the screenshot below shows my attempt with the semi-colon included in my message string) Any advice will be much appreciated. NodeRed + StreamDeck and change the title of the buttons
6
I have a question that I'm sure someone in the group has already answered. I have a StreamDeck integrated with NodeRed via WebSocket and from the SD I can command and control the 2 motors that I have in my station. My doubt or question for the experts is how can I change the images of the SD buttons since I would like to display the heading of each motor on 2 of the buttons. My idea is not to have to generate 360 ??images (with each possible heading value between 0? and 259?) and send the position image, but to change only the text of the button Title while always keeping the same background. Is it possible to send the order to change the Title of a button on the SD via WebSocket? Thanks in advance and Mery Xmas! Pablo EA4TX

Hello all- I'm in the process of redoing my NR setup and am trying to find W8BE's flows. I'm unable to see or access the files/w8be subdirectories. I'm sure I must be missing something but am curious if others can find and download these files? 73's, J.R., N7JRJ

Is there a flow that polls the Flex and spits out a table (or a text file) with the CW spots that the Flex is currently seeing? Thanks!
