Re: Stream Deck and Node Red - which model?

开云体育

The Mk2 is just a newer version and I believe it uses a USB-C interface on the Stream Deck end. Operationally, there is no difference.

Let us know if you have any questions when implementing it. In the file section I have a zip file with my flows and files needed for Stream Deck integration, including the plug-ins and a profile for Stream Deck.?

Have fun!

Looks like he is using SVG graphics. Really nice and opens up a whole bunch of ideas.?

Tormod has done excellent work with SVG node. I’ve used his code and ideas here. I took a slightly different route with sending graphics to the Stream Deck buttons but if it weren’t for Tornod’s work I never would have come up with it.?

Re: Question about how to "zero" meter data when radio connection is dropped

开云体育

Hi Mike

?

Look at my Flex Radio flow

/g/nodered-hamradio/files/%211%21%20Flows%20by%20Type/RADIOS/FLexRadio%20flows%20for%20use%20with%20N1SH%20FlexRadio%20nodes/FlexRadio_v11_by_wo2x.json

?

Specifically look at output 2 of the switch node on the output of Flex Message node. It looks at the disconnect status to see when last client is disconnected. Follow the logic along and you’ll see I send a message payload of 0 (zero) to the function nodes driving the meters when there is no client connected.

?

I hope this helps!

All,

I've built a flow (see pic attached) which displays the meter data (i.e. Input Voltage, PA Voltage, etc.) but earlier today I noticed that when I shut down my 6600M, the meter data stayed at the latest value.? Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can update my flow so when the connection to the radio is lost, the 4 meter data shows 0 (zero)?

Dave,
Yes N1MM+ is feeding the data into the flow.

I setup the master station to send the contacts up to the cloud based NR instance.

It is running on free tier ARM Oracle cloud instance, with NGINX as the front end, and has a 'free' SSL.??

But you could easily run as a normal node locally.??

The flow is attached.

I must say that many (most) of these are very impressive! I've just done a few experiments with Node-Red - clearly I need to look more seriously at it!
A question - several of these dashboards include spectrum scopes - how are these displayed? I use an SDRPlay RSP1A together with my FTdx101D and FT-991A - do the interfaces exist to allow me to display the spectrum from the RSP1A?

Hi Dana.?

Are you using N1MM+??

If so, can you forward the “stupid flow”? ;-)

I’d like to use it this weekend. I was asked to help a group with Field Day who are relatively new to Field Day and it would be fun to have people be able to see the dashboard. We’re running 2F from a County Mobile Command Post (modified bus with hydraulic slide outs). Real nice and air conditioned!

My station will be my 6600m with an Inrad DMS629 desk mic. The second station is probably going to be a Yaesu FTdx-1200 (ughh).?

Kyle,
Here is the basic dashboard we will be using for FD this year.

It was kept small to fit on most phones.

No data in there yet.??

Re: Need Your Dashboard Screen Shots!

I know this is primarily a Flex group, but here is my IC-7610 setup as it currently stands. On the left I have SDR Control for Icom, which is like the Mac version of SmartSDR for Flex. On the right is my Node-RED dashboard. The color scheme and overall look and feel is designed to match SDR Control for Icom to the best of my ability without resorting to custom graphics elements. On the top I have controls and displays for a Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Power Strip. I also have a soft power switch for the IC-7610 (it an be turned on and off via CI-V). Below that I have a propagation flow which gives me current solar water conditions and the MUF/foF2 for the Austin Ionosonde (which is currently down). Next is the Elecraft KAT500 tuner flow. In addition to the usual controls, I can press the Tune button to initiate a tune cycle and have my IC-7610 send a low power carrier. When the KAT500 indicates the the tune cycle is done, the flow automatically returns the IC-7610 to its previous normal settings. I can also manually control the L and C of the tuner with the Up/Dn arrows. Next is the QRZ lookup and MacLoggerDX interface for the SOTA station (the next flow down) that I have clicked on. I can enter the RST reports here and click the Time On/Time Off buttons to correspond to when the QSO began and ended. When I am done with the QSO, I click the Log QSO button and all the log info is saved to MacLoggerDX. Finally, I have my SOTA flow. Summits are color coded based on whether I have worked that summit before (Yellow) or whether I need that summit for a SOTA complete (Red). The points (the number after the summit) and the spot age are color coded in a heat map style. I can click on a station callsign to do a QRX lookup and prime the Log flow above it. I can also click on a summit to get more info about that summit. Clicking on an Age value will give me more info about that activation in a pop-up window. Behind the scenes I have a limited CI-V flow for talking directly to the IC-7610 (not using rigcntl or any third party software, Node-RED only). It only implements the commands that I use.

Field Day (Contesting) Dashboard Install Video

I was on Ham Radio 2.0 talking about my contest dashboard.? You could use it for Field Day, but I was going to make a Field Day specific screen, but just ran out of time.

So...the goal is to make a Winter Field Day/ARRL Field Day dashboard before Fall.

If you want step by step instructions on how to load my Contesting Dashboard, check out this video.
