Re: FRStack, SPE and Raspberry PI

开云体育

Here is a sample of SPE settings which will automatically turn on the SPE amp when the software connects to your radio.
If you don’t want to auto open the AMP then set that parameter to false.
I also recommend you consult the readme.html file if you have not already.

? ?"SPEComPort": “/dev/ttyUSB0", // this is the Serial device for SPE AMP Control port (Not the CAT port)
? ? "SPETuneStandby": “true", // this will set SPE to STANDBY when TUNE is activated
? ? "SPEModeRestore": “true", // this will return SPE to OPERATE after TUNE complete
? ? "SPEOnAntenna": "0", // 0 or 1 or 2; 0 for both, 1 for ANT1, 2 for ANT2
? ? "SPEUseDTR": “true", // this will set DTR to power up amp
? ? "SPEProtocolV1": "false", // this is set true for SPE V1 amps
? ? "SPEAutoOpen": “true", // this is set true to OPEN SPE after connecting to radio

Yes. ?I prefer to copy the path to the sim link file for the serial cable and paste that into the FRS config file “SPE Port”. ?The serial cable sim link is located in the “/dev/serial” directory.?

What special DB9? I was thinking I just connect the SPE to the Pi via the USB cable. Why the DB9 too?

My bad. ?The SPE computer cable is a USB to USB cable.?

Re: FRStack, SPE and Raspberry PI

Tom

You did not say, but Node-Red gets its SPE amp info from FRStack. ? I sent you the SPE amp flow using FRS in a separate?e-mail.

You configure your "Connection" flow in Node-Red to the IP address of the Pi running FRS.? The default is 127.0.0.1 assuming Node-Red and FRS are on the same Raspberry Pi.

FRS talks to the SPE thru the USB Com "out" cable from the SPE.? You configure the Raspberry Pi serial port in the FRS configuration file using a text editor, "/usr/local/frstack/appsettings.json". ?

The special SPE DB9 to USB serial FTDI CAT cable connects to the SPE and the Flex USB cables, to provide CAT frequency data.

FRStack, SPE and Raspberry PI

Hello,

I want to setup my SPE amp to be viewable via FRSTack running on my Raspberry Pi (on 192.168.1.210 in this example). I have a few questions that might be more basic setup questions...

When I go to??I get a blank page. I am curious how FRStack knows the address of the 6600. Does it search for it or did I need to include its IP address in app settings somewhere?

Next is the amplifier. I have a USB cable plugged into the Ri and then into the SPE amplifier. I see /dev/ttyUSB0 (FTDI device) on the Pi. That must be the amp as it is the only thing plugged into the USB ports on the Pi). I put /dev/ttyUSB0 in the serial port of app settings.json but that does not see to work. I used lsusb to find the port.

Is that the correct format of the serial port in app settings.json?

Thanks,

Tom NY4I

Appreciation

I wish to take this moment to give thanks to Alan (WA9WUD) who with patience spent over 1 hour with me on the phone, on his Saturday morning helping me recover from disaster (lost 3 SD Cards, al my Flows, and a Pi4 I haven't been able to boot). We managed to start a new card from scratch, installing Node Red, nodes, flows, FRStack et all. Now I've gotten back my flows with the Pi3 and gained remote control again.?Also to Dave (WO2X) who did the same couple of months back, even though I thanked him at the moment, I wanted to reiterate it again.

Now, I'm copying my image and safeguarding it in a couple of safe places.

Now that I got the Pi3 back on track and got control of my station, I have more time to troubleshoot the Pi4.

Thanks guys for the help. Really appreciate.?

Re: File /HF Auto.json updated #file-notice

Updated the HF-Auto Flow to include command buttons.

Uses W1TR's HF-Auto as the Host to command the HF-Auto Tuner.

I uploaded a separate?file, "HF-Auto Network Setup" as an aid to configure HF-Auto, FRStack, Node-Red in, and Node-Red out.

Here is a screenshot of the HF-Auto Dashboard showing Data, Meters and Command Buttons:

Re: File /WSJT QSO Listener.json uploaded #file-notice

Santigo

Sorry, I misunderstood
.
For the WSJT-X listener, check your setting on the "Reporting" settings.

?I used port numbers, the same as required by the logging software I have, and duplicated in the Node-Red UDP listener nodes. ?

Also, the broadcast IP addresses are multicast IPs, so as to also be seen by my logging software.

224.0.0.1 is a common address used by many routers.

X.X.X.255 works if your router uses a sub mask 255.255.255.0 or /24.

Morning. The HF Auto flow is working fine.

It’s the?Wsjtx flows that are not working.

Newbie having problems installing FRstack

Hi Guys

I am a comple noob here, have a little linux experience, am trying to follow David's instructions to install nodered and FRstacks. I have got to the point where nodered runs successfully in command line, but whan i try to install FRstack, I get the message as in the attached picture. I did have an issue installing the dotnet core from the sudo wget command, but went to microsoft and downloaded the tarball from there...it seemed to install successfully. Any ideas please?
