At first I didn?t like posting my flows (most of them are modifications of other users flows), but then I thought that if I don?t share what I am doing I had no way of knowing if I was doing it right or wrong or more complicated than necessary. Now I?m confident to share my work and won?t be ashamed if someone corrects me. As for questions, I am never afraid to ask questions nor ask for help (just ask Dave and Alan jajaja), asking is learning.
But I must also say that we are lucky because we have a group of great people, that loves to help and that doesn?t think less of someone who just don?t know, because I?ve been (and left of course) in groups which are the complete opposite, a groups of bullies.

Thanks all for the help and guidance. Like Alan said, if it wasn't for you guys I would have not started this adventure. I?ll try to explain my process.? I have a OpenWeather flow that I adapted with Alan?s help to monitor weather at my QTH and in case of a given event (Rain, Thunder, Clouds, etc..) can do certain things. In my case I?ve configured an email when Thunder is on the weather report with a message ("Thunder at QTH. Please disconnect"), and as of yesterday, it also sends instructions to my DLI flow to shut down the sockets. For that I used a Gate node and a Link node to the DLI flow. I also added a switch after the gate and before the Link so I can bypass it if I want (ie. false weather report). The flow includes a led alert (courtesy of Alan) to give a quick visual aid on the weather status. Here are some pictures:  At the DLI flow, I included a Link from the Weather flow before the switch nodes and in the specific case of the Flex Power Supply I added a delay of 10 seconds just to? make sure it doesn't turn off before the Flex Remote is off, in other words, to make sure the radio power supply does not go off with the radio on. In this flow I found on the web a function to make sure the switches retain the previous states after refreshing (which was a headache at first).  At the dashboard end, it looks like this:   As I mentioned, I?m not sure if this is the most efficient way of making this work, but I?m just happy enough it works. Finally here is a picture of my current main dashboard.  Files have been updated in the file section of this group. For me, I have learned the most by studying?and experimenting with other's flows.? Especially the "parsing" techniques (thanks Dave and Andreas).? Then I adapt the concept to my "use case".
Without these groups and sharing from Elmers, I probably would have given up on using Node-Red.

Hey all
Just a thought, as I think this all the time.
I get my flows running, but then I am embarrassed to post some of them since, well,then are a work in progress and a mess.? Then, I get embarrassed.
I want to encourage everyone not to worry about this.? Posted flows will not be judged, but learned from and if you want to clean up someone's flow, excellent.? No judgment of course.? We all learn from them.
Ask questions.? There is no stupid question.
I would like to encourage?the sharing and mentoring of others (you don't want to see my Java--all my code is from Andreas, just hacked to work :) ).? And, if someone?provides feedback, please consider it a teaching moment.??
We all started at getting our first On/Off button to work and look like we want.? And, how exciting?that was.

On the iPhone and iPad (where I want to use it remotely) the different sections are stacked one on top of the next. Just scroll up or down to access section you want. Split screen on iPad with SSDR for IOS runs quite well.

4O3A 2x8 Antenna Genius flow
Hi All, ? Been working on the flow for the 4O3A Antenna Genius 2x8. I only use 3 antennas here and have the AG set to automatically select the proper antenna per band so no need to control antenna switching. I wanted a display to show which antenna is connected to radio Antennas 1 & 2 (ports A & B on AG switch). Here's a shot of my current dashboard with the AG flow working. As I switch bands the AG display window in Node Red shows which antenna is connected to TX Ant 1 & 2 on the radio. ? If anyone else is using the AG and has requests for adding additional functionality, just ask while I have the protocol fresh in the brain. ? 73 Dave wo2x ?

BTW, I have some basic LP-100A code if you like. ?It took me about 10 minutes and much simpler than the W2.

Long time lurker, almost first time poster :-)
It is great to see the energy and enthusiasm on this list.
When I started my code 3 years ago, I designed almost all features to live on their own PI. That¡¯s why you see a lot of data being pushed through the MQTT server. In the early days there were massive problems with the serial port library and sometimes the data for different serial ports got mixed up. Hence the separation. One PI one Serial port.
Going through the MQTT server for all the core data also has the benefit that I can whip up another debug UI client for experimentation without having to mess with my ¡°production¡± code. Easy data sharing of the current values.?
This is my current ¡°main¡± screen and it has not really changed a lot over the last 3 years.
I am using the following controls/modules:
-?Rotator (Green Heron) -?Amplifier Expert 2K FA and 1.3K FA -?Power Meter driven by AMP -?W2 Wattmeter -?SteppIR DB18E? -?SteppIR Maintenance functions (Home, Cal, Track) -?Digital Loggers Power Panel -?Ping (I have 4 PI, Flex, DL Switch and a remote on relay board)
This is what I am currently playing with with (The color scheme on my development environment is red to let me know which server I am on):
David¡¯s Antennas Genius looks interesting. Maybe I can borrow some code from him for this MultiFlex control :-)
Other controls I am interested in is the LP100.

Solved. HF Auto ini file wasn?t saved correctly thus it was missing some items. now its working nice.
Dave, take a look at an alternate DLI flow I created with 3D buttons which looks nice and works fine.

If I am not mistaken, based on what Mark explained, in Multiplex, the first client gets port 4991.? When the ?Flex Server (at IP address x.y.z.80) sees the second client, the server assigns it a port, most likely 4993, but not always.
Now at the Raspberry?Pi/Node-Red, when the user wants to know what?is going on in?Client #1, Node-Red asks "x.y.z.80:4991" (your current flow does this).??
If the user wants to know what is going on in Client #2 (if there is a second client?bonded to the Flex Server), Node-Red asks "x.y.z.80:new_second_port".? The IP address of the Flex Server remains the same as configured in the Node-Red TCP Client, only the port number changes.
If you can pull out the port number for client #2 from subscribed data, you can use that to change the port number in the below, TCP "Client" node. ? Client #1 will always be 4992?

?I tested the node by injecting "msg.payload = 4992" and it works nicely.

So....the port must be changed based on which client is "bound".? OK.
FYI, the normal Node-Red TCP nodes do not allow for changing the port number, outside of the manual configuration page. ??
So..... I found these TCP nodes that have provisions to input a msg.payload (or whatever) ?to make changes to the ?TCP configuration.? I gave the TCP Client a test run, by injecting msg.payload = 4992 and it works very well.? Other parameters?can be changed too.

Not sure what happens next, but it is fun playing.

The FlexAPI attempts to create a exclusive UDP Socket at Port 4991, if that fails it will try the next and so on until Port 6010.
Once successfully bound it will inform the Radio with the following command "client udpport 4993"
Note that port 4992 is the discovery port so it will not be used.
This is why you will see the traffic on different ports depending on how many clients you are running
On Windows run the following to see UDP ports in use:?netstat -a -p UDP
So when I run FRStack and SmartSDR I see 4991, 4993 in use and 4992 in use 2 times.

I just checked it here by putting a debug node in the HFAuto flow right before the UDP send node for HFAuto port 12070. I am seeing the XML documented formatted message with correct frequency.
Try making sure both the Flex Radio and HFAuto flows are enabled and W1TR¡¯s software is configured to receive on port 12070.
