Unfortunately, I have not tried to use zplot at this time but since Softmaker claims it is compatible, it may work.? Hi Rudi The ZPlots has facilities as mentioned before to calculate Z0 as function of Frequency base on measurement of an open and shorted cable. Here is the result for the 33cm cable we are discussing. Did you mean that the S11 phase oscillation curve (about sinus) horizontal center line should be minimised to a straight line and not be bowed? 3. Did you mean with the change of Z0 to connect a resistor of 50 Ohm at the end of the 22 cm coax cable? And then vary this resistor in 0.1 Ohm steps to minimise the amplitude of the phase oscillation amplitude? I mean your file "NanoVNA supplied cable 50K to 500MHz.png" in post 7877 at 2019-12-05 20:10. In this screen shot there are 2 diagrams with S11 Phase. seems like its dooable then,imworking on making a milled aluminium case for it so the mechanical stuff isnt an issue,was more concerned about the frequency responce,im only going to use it upto 70cms.

Hi Paul, if N is an alternative for you: N provides much better accurate quality for higher frequencies than BNC. What Linux distribution are you using?
As Nick said, if you follow the installation instructions, the program installs without a problem on Linux Mint 19.2 and works just fine.

to an antenna and not have to reprogram everything again.
If you save your current calibration and range selection to slot 0, it will be loaded when you power on. If you don't want to save to slot 0, save it to another slot and load from that slot via the menu after powering up. The slots save more than just the calibration settings. Additionally: Is there software for use with a Win 7 or Win 10 PC and
for Android? See the files section of the group.
Your assistance would be appreciated.

3. I am not sure of my NanoVNA firmware but I think it is QRP 0.4.3. Is
there newer firmware? To check for newer offerings, I go to /g/nanovna-users/wiki.. then search for software .. then firmware

seems to me the vna saver is iffy,i get a smith chart with only the trace displayed ie none of the circle markings,its like the trace is in thin air,any ideas?,on my lappy the creed display just jitters all over,mentioned this a few times but lagley seems to be ignorred!

I have one more question regarding the NanoVNA Saver software
In the TDR display there are two traces, One Red and one blue. I understand
the red but not the blue. Would some please give me an explanation of the
blue trace?

Banggood has a 2S charging board for about $2 that you run off of an 8 to 12v
source. I'm going to look at that setup soon in addition to modding the
bridge and freq source circuits per the discussion on Hugen's GitHub repo.
