Re: Testing directional coupler directivity and bandwidth
Hi Herb, Still working for the next few months (retired but went back p/t for a year) BUT I will work on using a return loss bridge based on the Stockton design. The ARRL handbooks also have an RL

Re: Measuring a Chokes Resistance and Reactance

I posted this a week or so ago. The basic concepts are from G3TXQ but then found an Agilent presentation. G3TXQ reasoned out a way to do it but Agilent presented the formulas in a general form. I took

Hi Dragan, yes, that is basically what I have done - but I don't understand why reading the R and X values from the S11 graphs have different values from the calculated values from the S21 data - I

Measuring a Chokes Resistance and Reactance
#measurement
Hi, I have wound a few chokes on some FT240-43 and FT240-31s I have in my junk box. I am looking to add common mode chokes to my 39% OCFD and a new 80m to 10m EFHW antennas. Keen to get good resistive

Re: Problem with new H
I noticed the posts about a problem with the case. I completely removed the board from the case and it made no difference. I talked to the dealer and they are going to send out a new unit.

Upload compiled github version and name it as 0.8.4.5 Found bug (AIC datasheet very poor) on CH1 (search why H version work better on 0.8.4.3 on CH1 measure) update github code For better CH1 measure

I set the power out of the Nano to max.? Traces seem more stable now.? I guess all is good.?? I ordered new doorknob caps for antenna anyway as it has been up for nearly 20 years. Eric WA3UYI --

Re: Problem with new H
Remove the unit from it's housing and see if it starts working. If it does, part of the housing is pressing on the touchscreen. Search the forum - there are a number of posts about that. If it does

Re: Problem with new H
Remove the front of the case.? The case may be putting pressure on the touch screen, which causes erratic behaviour. I put 4 nylon washers in as spacers to raise the cover above the screen.

Re: rf interferience
I had the problem at one time while using my MFJ-259B, which has a pretty robust +10 dBm output. Part of the problem was that it was a large antenna (135' inverted L) which picked up a lot of signal
