Re: Confused Newbie
Larry,
Thanks for the quick answer. I go to the WIKI and search for "Defuse Utility". I get: "Search Results Home Here's another reference to the DeFuse utility - no registration req'd Installing and troubleshooting Installing the STM32 Virtual COM port drivers: (Refer to forum message 218) Updated: 11:20am" These results are clickable, so click on them and go right back to the WIKI page I was on. So I try other searches. Same circle results; like a merry-go-round. On your message, you say : "Refer to the Wiki here: M Here's another reference to the DeFuse utility - no registration req'd There is a link to a google drive with the drivers as well as the DeFuse utility. Download the file beginning with STSW... and install the software." I cannot find any of this or anything like it. What does the Capital M mean? Just searching with FireFox (not in the WIKI) I found several references to put the nanovna into DFU Mode. So far, I have not found a single reference that shows how to put a nanovna into the DFU mode (what ever that is). So sorry I am so ignorant, but all of this seems so unorganized and piecemeal. Is there a URL and exact name for each thing I need to download? 30, Billy ________________________________ From: [email protected] <[email protected]> on behalf of Larry Rothman via groups.io <nlroth@...> Sent: Monday, December 13, 2021 13:00 To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [nanovna-users] Confused Newbie Hi Bill - welcome to the forum. Re: NanoVNA and PC.
OK, I understand but you still have not answered one question: Can you talk to your H4 through Terraterm or putty?

Please install this version of firmware for your H4: /g/nanovna-users/files/Dislord%27s%20Nanovna%20-H%20Firmware/NanoVNA%20v1.0.69%20fw%20pack.zip Unzip and ONLY use the _H4_ DFU file. Verify you can talk to the command console through a terminal program on your PC before trying to use any of the Nano PC apps. you have not said what model of Nano you have. Are you able to talk to the Nano through a termial program like Teraterm or Putty when it is connected to the PC? If not, you need to troubleshoot that first. On Monday, December 13, 2021, 08:32:18 a.m. EST, Antonio (EA7HJ) via groups.io <ea7hj@...> wrote:

Re: Nanovna H4 very slow sweep speed?
Sweep speed depend from bandwidth.
You can see this setting in middle of frequency range at bottom "bw: XXXXHz 101p" Lower XXXXHz value - more slow sweep time For select use DISPLAY->BANDWIDTH (default 1000Hz, more faster 4000Hz), this option stored in config, so after need save it in CONFIG->SAVE |

I just got a nanovna h4 off Amazon with good reviews (seller HUAIFANGPING)
It seems to sweep very slow (about 8 seconds a sweep). Every time I adjust the antenna, it takes about 8 seconds to see the trace refreshed and the SWR updated. Is this normal for the h4 or do I have a dud? Online videos show much much faster sweep speeds on other nanovnas... Thanks! |

Does this Hugen releasae include the enhancements DiSlord released earlier today as DiSlord v1.1 beta 1?

DiSlord Update to v1.1 beta 1: - Init i2c bus devices on low speed, change on max speed after (i hope this allow fix problem vs hang on first power on) - 2x increase wait time for SD carf (also hope this fix errors on old slow cards) - Add backup feature, this allow save some settings (freq range / points count / jog step / leveler mode / bandwidth / last used slot) Backup restore settings only for stored on flash slot (not work for RAM calibration data) By default loaded 0 slot (if no backup enabled / on error / no battery) - Small ui changes Divide Expert settings on 2 screens Added Remember State (enable/disable backup feature) checkbox (need save config after for apply) Mike N2MS On 12/11/2021 2:43 PM Byron Johnson <magpiper@...> wrote: |
