Re: NanoVna Parts
I have used a similar switch and it should be better. https://lcsc.com/product-detail/Multi-Directional-Switches_Korean-Hroparts-Elec-K1-1502SA-02_C128929.html
Re: Yet another NanoVNA case
Printed it, fits well for my version. Thanks, HexAndFlex! 73 Mike AF7KR

Re: NanoVna Parts
The better choice would be to order part #C128928. It is much less fragile. John

Re: Place to buy
Steve, Mine took exactly 3wks from order to delivery from elecdesign2015. Hope that helps.

Re: Place to buy
How long did it take to get the VNA from Seller: Elecdesign2015 ? Thanks, Steve_WB8GRS

Re: Directional couplers that work at very low frequencies
Directional couplers using opamps or instrumentation amplifiers have been successful used over a very wide bandwidth as DCs. I will see if can find a link. Stuart K6YAZ Los Angeles

Re: Directional couplers that work at very low frequencies
Peter, See my message #1252 and the LT Spice schematic attached. There I reference Dunbar circuit. If you change Ro to any suitable value, ohms to k ohms, you can do VNA instruments to suit any

Re: Directional couplers that work at very low frequencies
I built something like that a while back out of resistors for 8 ohms with the signal drive before the audio amp.? The sweep was rather annoying but you could definitely see the difference if you

Re: Your NanoVNA version - good clone, semi-bad clone comparison
Unless I'm doing something stupid (which is entirely possible) or have been very lucky it may not make very much difference which clone you buy (as long as it has a battery and the soldering is ok!).

Re: Quick compare with HP 8753C...
Yes I think you are right - mine are the generic case. Having the A terms gives full flexibility. It means anything can be used as a standard - you just need a sweep of it from a properly calibrated

Re: Directional couplers that work at very low frequencies
The bridge theoretically works down to DC the problem arises from the need for a balun or a transformer (depending on which way you want to implement it) to get rid of the common ground and that

Re: Directional couplers that work at very low frequencies
Have you looked at this thread? I know it is for the analog discovery, but I used that below 25MHz before I got my NanoVNA. The same principles should apply.

Directional couplers that work at very low frequencies
Can one find/build/.. directional couplers that work well over an extended high fidelity audio frequency range, say 1Hz to 100kHz? With such directional couplers and a few easily obtained relays one

Re: CAL Plug Set
Actually, it's obvious that the one that doesn't have an insulator around the center pin *has to be* the short. wrote:

Re: CAL Plug Set
Silver with pin is the 50ohm reference. Just use all 3 on the nano VNA when you switch on, and you will see on the Smith-chart, whist one is closest to infinityy, which one is closes to short, and

Re: Place to buy
Hi Nigel, Greetings from an ex-saffer. Hope the postal service gets your Nana-VNA to you soon.... know the angst of having stuff shipped to SA, never knowing if you will get it. Great little gadget,
