Looked that stuff over, and it looks pretty interesting. Is that software windows-only? I don't run windoze here at all...

NanoVNA H/H4 and NanoVNA V2 have diferent hardware and software, LiteVNA more like V2 (in hardware) then H/H4

Yes UI look same, but this is only because I am engaged in the development of these interfaces and it is easier for me.
Everything regarding the conduct and methods of measurements, calibration, protocols, everything is different.
Different PCB, structure.

Completely different design,
The LiteVNA wouldn't stand out amongst a collection of the various NanoVNAs.

Different NanoVNAs already have different PCBs.

machined housing., Etc.
Different NanoVNAs already have different housings, or even no housing.

The only thing in common are that it's a VNA and it's relatively inexpensive.
Really? You're asserting that the firmware, UI, means of operation, performance characteristics, interfaces, etc. are unrelated, except to the limited extent shared by all VNAs?

Litevna is a trademarked name as is nanovna.
No doubt, but NanoVNA has pretty obviously become generic by virtue of uncoordinated and uncontested use by multiple manufacturers and vendors. Indeed, I applaud a manufacturer taking the initiative to select and use a distinguishing name instead of trading on the generic term.

They're not related
As above, I'd suggest that the LiteVNA is well within the existing range of variability for NanoVNAs.

What benefit do you see in sustaining the position that the LiteVNA somehow isn't a NanoVNA?

for me they hare people to make device for the electronics community and I appreciate all.
If you have noted more technical difference please tell the forum to give all more information.

Hi Anthony,
This is the support group primarily for the original version of the
NanoVNA, H & H4 devices but members have a mix of the various devices and
experiences.
Also - please search the forum messages - there is a lot of info. I wrote
a how to search doc that is the 1st link in the Wiki. The trick is to start
wide and narrow down the search terms - and don't give up after 2 searches.

20 or so messages back there are 2 links to the SAA support groups.

The wiki in this group makes the following observations that I find
relevant:

Section 1.1.5 for hardware shows that the "nanorfe.com" website is
associated with the nanovna 2-0 , aka OwOComm's S-A-A-2
Section 1.1.6 covers the Nanovna-H4 , and lists it as different hardware
from the SAA2

Also, the nanovna.com website points back to this group for support,
while the nanorfe.com site points back to a different group here on
groups.io, the NanoVNAV2 group.

So I associated the question of "approved vendor" in this group with the
wiki in this group, and the nanovna.com

Different hardware, both using the name "Nanovna" --- hmmm, what could be
confusing about that?? (slight grin)
