I tried with those sma calibration things and I also calibred with 50ohm resistor I also tried open so without any connection short, I shorted sma center to threads and load was 50ohm resistor

There is a similar effect when you upload the plus version firmware to the non plus hardware.

Re: Firmware Updates for the SAA-2N
The saa-2n doesn't use dfu for flashing.? Please search the forum messages for: SAA-2N firmware? And you should find the info you need.? Please remember that this forum is primarily for the NanoVNA

Firmware Updates for the SAA-2N
So I tried following the procedure in the absolute beginner guide in order to update the firmware on my SAA-2N. I noticed when connecting it to my PC it shows up as USB Serial Device (COM3) and when I

Re: Adapters
I always calibrate with as many connections and cables attached as I can to eliminate insertion loss. I never considered delay as a factor, which I will now have to research.

Re: Broken S-A-A v2 ?
It looks like the calibration parts and or a cable or 2 might be defective.? This has tripped-up users in the past with the same display output.? Check all your call components.? On Tue., 14 Sep.

Re: Broken S-A-A v2 ?
I would also agree on checking connections. when i ever have not a tight connection to whatever I am testing I get that birds nest mess of lines also. Joe WB9SBD

Also check what version of firmware you have. Current version is 1.0.69 De K8HTB Joe

Re: Broken S-A-A v2 ?
Not sure what frequency you are measuring but first do a reset all. In menu buttons. Set the stimulus 1 MHz to 10 MHz? just for some low hf range. On the s-a-a-2 my SAA2 port zero is the bottom

Re: Broken S-A-A v2 ?
Yea. Reseted all before ecah cal. Did cal reset and tried reset all and started all over...

Re: Adapters
Mario, - calibration does just thet - it calibrates out (ideally, of course) all the variables and takes into account delayes, parasitic LC, etc so that at the reference plane, you have an 'ideal'

Re: Adapters
Larry, If you do calibration with the adapter installed and the reference plane is at the adapter would you still have to adjust for the electrical delay? Mike N2MS
By Mike N2MS · #24714 ·
Re: Adapters
or you calibrate with standards that attach to the adapter, so the adapter is "inside" the calibration plane.

Re: Adapters
If the delay of the adapter is significant, then yes. For most of my 900 MHz work it is. For 1 MHz, it isn't. Op 14-9-2021 om 13:58 schreef Chris Pohlad-Thomas:
