Strange, I did clearly see a difference on my HW
BNC Tee with terminators at the end of a pigtail is far from ideal...
I suppose that mixer distortion may be inconsistent among samples.
FWIW, when calibrated for smaller ranges, e.g. 200-800MHz
my worse clone shows problems around 240MHz.
