I don't know the difference. Note that the STM software is meant for
programming / flashing the STM processor chips - so I expect that it is
more full-featured for a programmer.
The only thing we need it for is the driver and the firmware flashing -
which is fully functional in the demo version.

Thank you Stan. I will give all that info a good read. So what is the
difference between the DEMO version and the latest version?

Fred,
If you follow *exactly *the instructions in the latest version of the
"Absolute Beginner's Guide" (available in the files section here in this
group), you will have the correct STM software and drivers installed, and
be able to install the firmware updates. If you have upgraded to Windows
11, these instructions have not been well-tested that I am aware of, but
likely will still work. Note that the Dfuse-demo software is not really
a
'demo', it is released software intended to demonstrate capabilities of
the
STM processors. And yes, the website notes that it is replaced by newer
software, but still has it there for download. I understand the newer
software may also work, but the instructions for its use are not as clear
(unless someone else here can clarify for you).

There have been many upgrade suggestions for the correct software to

when upgrading the NanoVNA-H4 and the instructions on how to use that
code. I have not found anything that is supposed to be golden for the
H4.
It has all been see if this or that works. I would like to use the STM
software. Is there a package there that is not a demo but the real
thing
and then I need the latest DFU file.
Thanks
