If you follow *exactly *the instructions in the latest version of the
"Absolute Beginner's Guide" (available in the files section here in this
group), you will have the correct STM software and drivers installed, and
be able to install the firmware updates. If you have upgraded to Windows
11, these instructions have not been well-tested that I am aware of, but
likely will still work. Note that the Dfuse-demo software is not really a
'demo', it is released software intended to demonstrate capabilities of the
STM processors. And yes, the website notes that it is replaced by newer
software, but still has it there for download. I understand the newer
software may also work, but the instructions for its use are not as clear
(unless someone else here can clarify for you).
