Re: Firmware Upgrade What Am I Doing Wrong?

I recall when first setting up my nano vna to use the pc based options, being stuck in the wrong driver loop.?Windows would insist that it had the best driver loaded if I attempted to to an update driver. Yet, at the same?time device manager showed there was a driver issue with the yellow question mark. I used a program?called Zadig which can be downloaded and then used to override this incorrect driver issue. Zadig is oftenused when setting up an rtlsdr. A clear case where windows may tend to load the wrong driver. So, using?the Zadig program, you can force windows to replace the wrong driver with the correct one? Once you do?that, windows will be happy, and the device will work properly. .At least that was my experience. Certainly,?a contributing factor was the definitely defective USB to Nano VNA cable that came with the new Nano VNA.

Maybe you have a wrong Windows 10 driver.
You have to start NanoVNA in DFU Mode.
After connected, you have to see it as "STM Device in DFU Mode" in Controller USB (Device Manager).
The right driver that works for my Windows 10 is: STTub30.sys (3.0.6.1 04/26/2018)
You can update it searching in this path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\STMicroelectronics\Software\DfuSe v3.0.6\Bin\Driver\Win10
