Anyway, microcontrollers have "paper" specifications and real ones:
STM32F103C8 as
a common example.
It's one thing substituting a 303 with a 302 (Fine if the additional features of the 303 are never used or will never be used in the future) But substituting it for the B variant that has half the flash and less ram is something else!
The H4 architecture does require more than 128KB flash, hence the additional features over the H2.8 such as 401 points.
Not all B variants will actually have more FLASH/RAM and even if the die contains it there is no guarantee that they will be fully functional and why they are binned as B variants.
Not to mention any future development could be possibly questionable for HW4.3 version of the H-4, it could limit the development of all H-4 devices to keep absolute compatibility or exclude devices using the lesser MCU's.
