I realize that John, but have had the RemoteRig boxes for over a year (I bought them with the intention of using them with my IC-7100 but decided that a better radio was in order).? I'll probably give the software approach a try before going ahead.

I should be back on the air with my KX2 within days (running a whole 10 watts to a Superantenna MP-1).? I doubt that I will increase my DXCC total (309) very much with that setup unless I wait for the sunspot cycle to climb a bit!? In any case I hope to have things set up so I will be ready for the K3S.

You shouldn¡¯t need any hardware at your end to run the rig remotely at your daughter¡¯s QTH, Bob.? It¡¯s all SW these days.

Regardless of methodology, congrats, and get thee back on the air, my friend!? J

After procrastinating for several months I finally did it and have a K3S on order.? I plan to install it here at my apartment but expect that I will relocate it later to my daughter's house five miles away and operate remotely with a K3/0 and RemoteRig, since the antenna possibilities there are much better.
