I'll have to take a look at that. I found a distribution on the AllStar site that I started to play with, but got tied up with other stuff and haven't really done anything with it.
I've got a couple old Linksys WRT54 routers squirreled away, so who knows maybe I'll experiment with some AREDN stuff some day...

I really like the ham-voip / doug crompton image. It runs really well and has a n00b menu system to make management easier.
It's too darn easy to start an AREDN presence. Just put up a rocket sector or a bullet with an omni. The hardware can be cheaper than a TNC..

Hey Jay,
I have every intent to convert my existing EchoLink hardware over to Allstar, but free time to play with radio stuff has been limited. It's on my list of projects, but it may be a while. Since I can barely spell Linux, I may hit you up when the time comes.
There's no AREDN activity in my area, and I suspect there wouldn't be a lot of interest. A few of us are playing around with packet, but that's about it.

Hey John!
Are you doing anything with AREDN or Allstar on your repeaters in Kansas?
