ERSians,

I just learned that one of my best elmers for everything motorola has
passed away. Marion Blanton KC5DPC of Slidell, Tx. lost his incredible
battle with esophagus cancer. He was a huge supporter of the Denton club
with his vast Motorola experience and knowledge. On a personal level, he
helped the N5ERS club with our 900mhz repeater and radio programming. He
was like Santa Claus unless you pissed him off then he was like a honey
badger. He served our country proudly as a Marine and was a true patriot.
I will really miss him.

I really hate the year 2020 so far. It has brought nothing but pain,
suffering and heartbreak.

Please keep Marion in your thoughts and prayers.
