Alinco DR-235 .....I
have a new one I haven't tried out yet, but supposedly, it is a
very capable radio for 220. Overall good reviews on eHam. Kind
of hard to find sometimes. DXEngineering has them on occasion.
Others on 220.....
TYT TH9000D
.....Seems to do the job on 220. No real complaints. eHam
reviews not too complimentary.
A 2M/220 mobile rig fairly new is the Wouxun KG-UV920P-A. I
gave it a 3/5 with a few quirks I don't like.?
Wish I had my Kenwood
Tribanders (TM-742A) back of the 1990's. I had 3 of
them over the years as I went in and out of FM. Best radio
out there on all the bands, but very, very expensive even in
the used market.
There are a number of HT's having 220 only and dual,
triple band. I have a few (TYT
TH350,?Wouxun
KU-UV8T, but only for repeater testing. A good 25
watt mobile rig is the only way to go for mobile.

Great news on the upcoming 220
repeater(s). In my over 35-40 years of operating a
220 machine at the TI Expressway site, I never
heard any intermod at all. The 224.18 TI Repeater
existed there for years and nary an intermod. On
the 450 foot tower above and below the repeater
antenna were repeaters on 2M/440 ham, 155/455/900
TI stuff and some City of Dallas stuff.?

Folks,
I just got back from Wylie and
have pulled all the equipment. Some of
the stuff will probably be sold
next weekend at hamcom.
I am going to head to grapevine
after lunch to grab the 900mhz msf 5000
so I can haul it to hamcom as
well.
The goal here is to raise money
to help fund the deployment of a 220
machine at grapevine.
1.25m is AWESOME. Non existent
noise floor. No intermod.. radios are
