I was just about to ask if you had a generator...
I own a generac wheelhouse 5500 that I did the propane/nat gas modification to and I also have a Yamaha 3000 inverter genset that is pretty awesome and very quiet. One of those and a 100lb LP cylinder would probably cover you.
There is also solar..? My next house is going to have an inverter/battery setup for lights out scenarios..

Needless to say, I've been looking at generators.
