Install Mac OS Monterey on my MacBook

Each time, everything seems ok till the end, then I get a message saying: ? "macOS Update Assistant Unable to install required firmware update. Update requires compatible internal storage." ? I don’t know whether you could see if there is a Software Update available for Big Sur that might make doing the OS upgrade possible. --? Jim Robertson
