Install Mac OS Monterey on my MacBook

As proposed by an upgrading message I received, I downloaded Mac OS Monterey and tried to install it 4 or 5 times. Each time, everything seems ok till the end, then I get a message saying:
?
"macOS Update Assistant
Unable to install required firmware update. Update requires compatible internal storage."
?
But I have a 2 To disk. Can you help me?
More infos down this message
?
Thank you

Your 2 TB external SSD is described as ¡°non-writable,¡± and the explanation also says that your INTERNAL SSD requires a firmware update. I don¡¯t know whether you could see if there is a Software Update available for Big Sur that might make doing the OS upgrade possible.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. The external drive was not connected when I tried to upgrade. I will contact OWC and give you a follow up!

It¡¯s an APFS problem. Here is the fix:

Unfortunately you are going to need to use the Terminal to do it. But it¡¯s now at all hard.
