Thanks I got the offer, and it was really easy to get the "one year free" on my new device, it wouldn't let me make that choice on my old device.? Will it be just as easy to set up the "one-year free" on my Apple TV that I already use with the TV to watch everything else? Thanks. Carol Corley

Once the service is activated on your new device, it is automatically available on your others. ?I set mine up on my new phone yesterday and then watched one of the new shows on my iPad. ?It’s also available for free on my Apple TV.

Thanks, Pat. I’ve got it set up now. I did watch something on my Apple TV (on the big TV), and I noticed there are a lot of commercials in the Apple TV programs. But then, it’s free for a year. Carol

I purchased a new Mac Mini about six weeks ago and was told it came with 1 year of Apple TV+ when it was released. After reading the posts on this I tried to sign up but Apple will only give me 7 days free trial. I am not too bothered as I don’t watch too much TV but I do think that Apple’s advertising is a tad misleading. The only ‘free’ streaming is a half dozen Apple produced programmes and a couple of Apple produced films. All else carries a price tag, even the BBC iPlayer programmes that I can get for free.

Your description is exactly what Apple TV+ offers for free; their own original programming. ?I’ve never read anything to the contrary from Apple or any other source.

OK, not Apple’s fault. I knew I’d seen it somewhere and I quote:-
What else can I watch on Apple TV+?As well as its own original series, the Apple TV app gives you access to UK streaming services including BBC iPlayer, All4 and ITV Hub, plus a dedicated kids’ section and, according to Apple, “thousands of films, including the latest blockbusters from iTunes.
I thought it was too good to be true.

You do have “access” to those and any other services to which you subscribe or content you purchase from iTunes. ?I enjoy the fact that the Apple TV app keeps track of where I am (which episode is up next) on a variety of things that I watch. ?Previous to this app, it was necessary to go to individual apps to watch the content offered by each.
