Recovery Partition OSX version

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Anyone know how to ensure the OSX version of the Recovery Partition is the same as the current boot drive version? or how to update it so that it IS?
I recently tried to do a security update that failed, and the Recovery Partition was not even bootable (I had previously upgraded to Sierra some time ago). I ended up having to wipe and restore from a TimeMachine backup (done just before update attempt) as my so-called bootable clone turned out to not be bootable either! (Should have double checked that too... perhaps use the other cloning app next time [ I have both SuperDuper and CCC; don¡¯t recall which I had used in that instance.].

I subscribe to the philosophical point of view that says that you only *think* that?you have created a bootable clone until you ACTUALLY boot from it successfully.
I try to remember to do that every time.

Only Apple¡¯s Recovery Disk Assistant still seems to be available and working.

The GitHub tool stopped at 10.13 and has been archived.

The Silvertooth tool leads to a 404 error, but the following link gets you to the software¡¯s page:?

It looks like most of the software hasn¡¯t been updated since 2016.
