I've been heartily recommending SuperDuper! for many years, both because of David Nanian's stunningly responsive technical support, and his incredibly meticulous attention to detail in his software.

Folks may recall that SuperDuper! was the very first backup software for Mac OS X that correctly handled and preserved meta-data (so many others got this badly wrong).
