Setting up Brother Laser Printer?
I bought a Brother DCP-L2550DW laser printer and installed the toner cartridge.? On my MacBook Pro (16", 2021, OS 13.3.1) I downloaded Brother_ScannerDrivers_ICA_1_15_3.dmg and brotherwdswML17_ULW_NonTouchPanel_1_0_1.? I'm trying to follow the directions that came with the printer but I can't get the printer and Mac to recognize each other. Could someone please point me to clear Mac-specific instructions to get the printer working with my MBP? ?adTHANKSvance! |
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHIStep 1. Join the network: Step 2, verify the MacBook is on the same network. Step 3. Open System (Preferences or Settings) click on View drop down menu choose Printers and Scanners.Depending upon your system you may have a lock if so click the lock, enter your computer password. ?Click the Plus sign above the lock and Add New printer. It should show up as a Bonjour Multifunction Printer. Highlight it and click add. If you are running a more modern system there won¡¯t be a lock but there will be a large Add Printer, Scanner or Fax button to click. Let us know if that doesn¡¯t work for you.? Paul

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýYou might try this walk through from Brother. The key is that you must configure the printer properly for your network first. Once the printer is properly configured for your network with AirPrint enabled (which should be the default), then any modern Apple device on your network should be able to see it via AirPrint and print to it.?
