Thanks for that, Bev. I¡¯ve not heard of EXO or BLOB before. We live and learn¡

OK, so I¡¯ve started a whole other argument.

Re: How to access a Memory Stick Pro

Not yet, Bev, and thanks for the thought.
?
I found which was helpful.? I then spent a happy (?) hour or so looking at AliExpress where the prices were somewhat more affordable than ChatGPT had found - more €10 than €100.
?
I'm going to ask around locally and see whether I can find either an antique card reader or Sony device.

Have you asked at camera websites?

IIRC it was for an old Sony video camera, long since defunct. I have no idea what, if anything, is on the memory stick and I'm looking for a way to read it. Does anyone have any suggestions, please, on how I might access the contents?

Re: How to access a Memory Stick Pro

I hadn't thought to ask AI, thanks for that David.
Looking at the prices I suspect you may be right that binning it is the way to go.
I'll have a look on ebay and ask at a camera store I know.

No I don't, unfortunately, but it might be an interesting line of enquiry on the second (third, fourth, ...) hand market.
Thanks, Otto!

Hi Keith,

It looks like your best bet is a Sony Vaio notebook. Do you have access to one?

I strongly suspect you¡¯ll bin the memory stick! ?

Ad blocker for Chromium

I too noticed that latest Brave would no longer run under Mojave, but for some reason I got it to work while using a "Private Window" instead... Good as before.
This is what version I have:

Re: Ad blocker for Chromium

I use Adblock Plus across all my browsers that require an adblocker.

I'm gradually switching from Brave to Chromium for sites that no longer work with Brave on High Sierra. (Unfortunately I've already discovered a couple of sites don't work in Chromium either.)
Brave has served me well, and has spoiled me with no ads.?

(I believe I have a free version of AdBlock on Safari. I don't know how to find out, except the next time I get a window asking me to subscribe to a paid version.)

I did exactly that, and the YouTube.app just complained that I was offline. I¡¯m thinking that the ¡°download¡± just retains what I¡¯ve streamed and perhaps makes it available AFTERWARDS, but that it doesn¡¯t download anything faster than actual initial streaming. So, I¡¯ll leave my Mac connected to the internet for 2 hours while I¡¯m away, then see if I can do better on the plane while disconnected from the internet this evening.
