From what I've read, the videos are not downloaded in a format directly usable by you. YouTube downloads the videos as EXO (video chunk) or BLOB (Binary Large Object) files, depending on your device.

I didn¡¯t have LOTS of time to look at those 3rd party programs, but I did read that technically, using them to download YouTube videos is not permitted by intellectual property laws. -- Jim
