Re: Christmas Question #2 (Very late)
Thanks so much, Becky! That¡¯s really cool, except that the ¡°Backwards and upside down¡± font messes up the vertical positioning of words that begin with capital letters¡ -- Jim Robertson

Re: Christmas Question #2 (Very late)
Jim - I know it¡¯s past Christmas but here are a couple things re backward/mirrored text/font on Mac. This is what I found online a few minutes ago but I also found a place ON one of my Mac's apps -

Re: USB-C power connector
I bought it refurbished at Other World Computing with a 2 year warranty which expired in November last year. Been considering getting a Macbook Air anyway. Must be time.

Re: USB-C power connector
My MacBook does not have a MagSafe connector, or I would have been using it. Only 2 thunderbolt ports, one of which seems to be defunct.

Re: USB-C power connector
After wiggling the cable to see what might be loose, one thunderbolt port has completely stopped working. Guess that port was the problem. The other seems ok.

Deleting photos
Hi: I have a lot of photos and would like to delete some off my phone without losing them on my Mac. Everything is in the Cloud. When I have tried to delete something, it is deleted off everything.

Re: USB-C power connector
I haven¡¯t had that problem, but then I usually use the Mag-safe connector.

Is the plug (male connector) loose in the port or the port loose in the chassis? Otto

Re: USB-C power connector
If it is under warranty, take it in. If it is out of warranty, sounds like a user issue. I am currently going thru a deceased friends electronics to reset them to factory default, and many of his

USB-C power connector
The USB-C power connector on the MacBook Pro really sucks. It doesn¡¯t stay snug to provide power consistently. Has anyone found a way to keep it firmly attached?

Re: Safari memory leak?
Both actually, but more the second. One can format a rotating disk drive with APFS, it does not have to be HFS+. 99% of all website programmers program for windows, not accepted standards. Because it

Were you referring to my misunderstanding regarding SSDs vs. rotating platter drives, or to the likelihood that a major website platform hires skilled programmers? -- Jim Robertson

What a foolish thing to assume. cjc

Re: Safari memory leak?
Because I simply didn¡¯t know (that current versions of macOS could run on a rotating platter drive and/or one formatted HFS). One theory that I¡¯ve just now discarded is that the problem is just

Is it even possible to DO that (boot from a rotating platter external drive) in Sonoma on an M3 MacBook Pro?
